Sign a contract, an offer letter, a form

The signature is a transparent PNG stamped onto the page as an image — it is not a certificate-based digital signature, and it carries no cryptographic proof of who signed. For contracts that need legal weight in that sense, use a certificate signing service instead.

About Sign PDF

Stamps your signature onto a PDF page as a transparent image: draw it once, click where it goes, set the size, pick the pages, download. Everything runs in the browser and the file is never uploaded.

This is not a digital signature, and that distinction matters. No certificate, no hash, no document lock — after signing, nobody can tell whether the PDF was altered later. What it gives you is a document that looks signed, which is fine for internal circulation, sign-up sheets, offer letters and rental agreements. If the other side asks for a signature with legal weight, you need certificate-based signing (DocuSign, Adobe Sign and the like); this tool cannot do that and shouldn't pretend to.

Why an image and not text. Handwriting is a stroke, not a glyph — anything rendered from a font looks fake at a glance. The pad is exported as a transparent PNG with the surrounding whitespace cropped away; without cropping, the transparent margin shifts the signature and it ends up floating off the corner.

Placement uses relative coordinates. Click anywhere and the signature centres on that point, scaled by page width and height, so A4 and a crooked phone photo both line up. The default sits in the lower right — where a contract signature goes.

Adjustable: size as a percentage of page width, and whether it lands on every page, this page, or a range. Not possible: editing the PDF text afterwards (no editor here), or undoing it — just sign again.

Frequently asked questions

Is this signature legally binding?

No. It is an image stamped on the page, with no identity verification and no tamper detection. For legally binding signatures, use a certificate-based signing service.

Can I edit the PDF after signing?

There is no editor here — you can only download. Edit the original file and sign again if you need changes.

Is my signature uploaded?

No. Both the pad and the PDF processing run in your browser; the server never sees your file or your handwriting.

Why is there space around my signature?

Expected. Transparent margins are cropped away, but the whitespace within the stroke is kept so it looks like a natural signature. Use the size slider to adjust overall scale.

Can I sign several pages at once?

Yes. Choose all pages and the same signature lands on each, or pick a range. Placement is scaled by page width and height, so pages of different sizes still line up.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. The pad reads touch strokes — sign directly with your finger.
