About Images to PDF

Turn a batch of images into one PDF: one page per image, in the order shown in the list, which you can rearrange up and down. Everything runs in the browser, so the images are never uploaded anywhere.

How pages are laid out

A4 and Letter are standard paper sizes. Each image is scaled proportionally to fit inside the content area and centred; the surrounding whitespace comes from the margin, 10 mm by default, or 0 for a full-bleed page. Scaling is proportional only — nothing is cropped or stretched, so photos keep their shape and tall screenshots keep both ends.

"Fit to image" makes each page exactly the size of its image, which suits portfolios, design exports, or anything where the original aspect ratio matters. Pick it and the orientation setting becomes irrelevant.

Orientation defaults to auto: wide images get landscape pages, tall ones get portrait, so a mixed batch never leaves half a page empty.

About quality

JPEGs are decoded and re-encoded at 0.92, which is visually lossless; phone photos shot in portrait are rotated upright according to their EXIF orientation. PNGs are checked for transparent pixels first — kept as PNG if they have any, converted to JPEG if not, to save space. WebP, GIF and BMP are formats browsers open but PDF does not, so they are converted to JPEG or PNG before embedding.

File size

The output is roughly the sum of the input images, with no extra upscaling. If your images were never compressed, the PDF will not be small either — shrink the images first if size matters.

Frequently asked questions

Will my images be cropped?

No. They are scaled proportionally to fit the content area and centred, so aspect ratio and content are preserved.

Why is a phone photo sideways?

Normally EXIF orientation is applied automatically. If one file still comes out rotated, run it through the image converter first and try again.

How big will the PDF be?

Roughly the sum of the input images, with no extra upscaling. Compress the images first if you need it smaller.

Can I add page numbers or a watermark?

Not yet. This tool only arranges images into pages, without overlaying any text.

Can I change the order?

Yes — use the up and down buttons on the right of each row; the first row becomes page one.
